Telocity

Provided object oriented design and development services to Telocity Inc., a privately held company in San Jose, California. Telocity, Inc. is a broadband Internet services company that is building an international platform of high-speed service by rapidly deploying low-cost DSL solution for mass customization and delivery of value-added services to residential customers.

Diyatech's responsibility was to architect and develop parts of the back-end for this system. The back-end is a three-tier system with Active Server Pages (ASP) as the client, the middle-tier being COM/DCOM objects developed in C++ using ATL, and a SQL Server database.

Network and Customer Management System

Designed the middle-tier using Unified Modeling Language (UML) with Rational Rose, and C++ as development language.

Middle-tier design consisted of 24 C++ classes and around 15000 lines of C++ code. Complete separation between business-logic code and COM layer over it.

Used ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) with ODBC to access a Microsoft SQL Server database.

All development done in Visual-C++ using ATL for COM objects supporting dual-interfaces.

Developed test programs with Active Server Pages environment using Microsoft FrontPage, Visual InterDev and VBScript.
